WOW Walking on Watersports runs jet skis from two spots in the San Juan area: Isla Verde Beach and San Juan Bay Marina next to Old San Juan. Both use new Yamaha WaveRunners, but the rides feel very different. Here is how to choose.

Quick answer

  • Pick Isla Verde if you want to drive yourself, ride at your own pace and stay close to the airport and the Isla Verde hotels.
  • Pick Old San Juan if you want a guided ride with views of El Morro, the old city walls and the cruise ship piers.

What is the same at both

  • Drivers must be 21 or older with ID. Passengers ride free and must be at least 8 years old.
  • No license or experience needed. Every ride starts with a safety briefing, and life jackets are provided.
  • Gas and taxes are included in the price.
  • Our WaveRunners have brake and reverse, so slowing down, stopping and docking are easy for first-timers.
  • Combined weight limit is 320 lbs per jet ski.
  • Arrive 30 minutes early to check in, and complete your waiver before you arrive.

Which is better for first-timers?

Both work. Isla Verde gives you more freedom in a marked zone with a water patrol nearby. The Old San Juan ride is a great fit if you would rather follow a guide and focus on the views and the history.

Can I do both?

Yes. Plenty of guests ride Isla Verde one day and see El Morro from the water on another. Book each one separately so you get the time slot you want.
